Rheem 52C Series

Rheem 52C Series: Indirect Solar Protection for Frost-Prone Areas
At Solahart East Gippsland, we believe your hot water should be reliable even on the coldest winter mornings. The Rheem 52C Premier Hiline® is an indirect solar water heater specifically engineered for environments prone to frost. By using an advanced closed-circuit design, it provides superior protection against freezing without the need for the circulating pumps or electronic controllers found in split systems.
Enjoy high-efficiency solar heating with the peace of mind that your system is built to survive any weather extreme.
Simple, Reliable, and Tough
The Rheem 52C works using an “indirect” heating process. Instead of water flowing directly through the solar collectors, the system uses a heat-exchange fluid to capture the sun’s energy. This heat is then transferred to the water in your tank using the thermosiphon principle—hot fluid rises naturally, moving heat into the storage tank without any moving parts.
This design is a game-changer for regional areas, as it prevents the water in the collectors from freezing and bursting pipes during a frost. With everything conveniently located on the roof, you gain total protection while freeing up usable space at ground level.
