The Smart Emergency Replacement

When your old electric water heater fails, the Streamline Solar Ready tank is the perfect like-for-like replacement. It provides instant hot water for your family right now, but unlike standard electric tanks, it comes with built-in solar connections already in place.

This means that in a few months or a few years, when you’re ready to make the switch to solar, we can easily install rooftop solar collectors and a Solar Upgrade Kit without needing to replace your tank again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much space does it take up?

The 320L model stands 1,635mm high and 640mm wide, while the 270L model is slightly shorter at 1,395mm. Both are designed for easy indoor or outdoor installation.

How hard is the upgrade to solar later?

It’s simple! Because the connections are already there, we just need to install the rooftop collectors and the upgrade kit. You won’t need a new tank, and we won’t need to redo your plumbing or electrical work.

Are there incentives for this system?

While the electric tank itself isn’t eligible for solar rebates today, once you upgrade to solar in the future, the system will become eligible for Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) to help offset the cost of the upgrade.
